While I grow accustomed to moving around again, if someone could tell me how best to contact POKEGO, I would be grateful. I had been an apprentice before all of the unpleasantness and it might be best if I start there. I could have lingered a while longer in that underground compound—which seemed quite well-built and extensive, truly an impressive feat of engineering—but I thought it best to get some sun after so long.

Heads up, we've been getting reports of water outside of town drying up and plants becoming withered unnaturally fast. They say it's being caused by a Spirit Realm gate that's influencing the envionment. And it's spreading. Pretty sure you guys already know about that... but if some of you Earth or Water folk want to help make sure all the crops don't die- probably should do that.

And no don't ask "why don't you do it". I don't have an element, I'm just a normal overworked guy. One that is clocking out now.

The case of the missing notifications

I keep forgetting to post about this: we've been troubleshooting the "missing notifications" problem for the past few days. (Well, I say "we", really I mean Mark and Robby; I'm just the amanuensis.) It's been one of those annoying loops of "find a logical explanation for what could be causing the problem, fix that thing, observe that the problem gets better for some people but doesn't go away completely, go back to step one and start again", sigh.

Mark is hauling out the heavy debugging ordinance to try to find the root cause. Once he's done building all the extra logging tools he needs, he'll comment to this entry. After he does, if you find a comment that should have gone to your inbox and sent an email notification but didn't, leave him a link to the comment that should have sent the notification, as long as the comment itself was made after Mark says he's collecting them. (I'd wait and post this after he gets the debug code in but I need to go to sleep and he's not sure how long it will take!)

We're sorry about the hassle! Irregular/sporadic issues like this are really hard to troubleshoot because it's impossible to know if they're fixed or if they're just not happening while you're looking. With luck, this will give us enough information to figure out the root cause for real this time.

The worst has come to past and the demon has stolen him from us. Blade and I will be going to retrieve him no matter the cost to ourselves, should you wish to join us you do so. There is no time to debate or to waste.

[ a Solgaleo comes up behind him and nudges the general breaking him from his unyielding stare. it's then that Jing Yuan breathes a flicker of tension draining from his shoulders. ]

[Viktor had, for reasons unknown to anyone but him, set up the session to begin the final confrontation of their campaign in his garage; a space converted into an engineer's workshop with a large Shape near the table covered by a thin cloth. What's that? Nothing, don't worry about it and don't worry about why he's in a much better mood than usual. Just get comfortable and prepare for a long game, it's fine.]

[Sometime in the afternoon, a video would come from Viktor's phone; a dimly lit room, with a Tinkaton taking up most of the frame with the universal gesture for 'shhhh' followed by a mischievous grin. In the background, a table full of nerds being loomed over by a Shape draped like a hellish bedsheet ghost, glowing in strange myriad colors made into an odd aura by the thin water vapor of a fog machine. On top of all that, an ominous low hum seemed to fill the air--over which Viktor's voice could be heard in careful, sharply accented narration.]

--all who still stand turn their eyes skyward as the eclipse reaches totality, as the sky itself appears to shake- [He picked up a small remote lying on the table, that low hum briefly interrupted by a sound of pure impact.] -and the twinkling of the stars begins to resemble not distant light, but the blinking eyes of a thousand adherents turned to witness the descent of their herald.

And as you look upon it, the eclipse itself begins to fracture- [Another sound of impact.] -under a force beyond it, something moving within an impossible space between reality and elsewhere. It cracks and shatters to the yawning black void beyond, and all you see for a moment is a massive glowing eye within the void where the sun once hovered overhead. Talia, if you would, please?

[Setting the phone down to carefully keep everything in frame, the Tinkaton skittered around behind the table and tugged on the corner of the cloth to reveal a horrific abomination, multicolored light streaming from a too wide mouth of countless teeth in beams accentuated by the thin mist.]

It opens the endless chasm you could call a mouth- [his hand moved on the remote, and with no small amount of horrified objections the creature began to move, jaw widening and tendrils beginning to writhe like some unholy abomination, followed by a shocked exclamation of 'VIKTOR?!' that might have been Noctis.] -and through endless teeth you see the light of the cosmos illuminating the battlefield in colors without name, the ground itself seeming to become something foreign and alien as if the creature's mere presence warps the shape of reality around it, form without shape winding its way from the broken eclipse down towards those who would stand to oppose it.

[Viktor just kind of let that sink in for a moment, smile on his face nothing short of deviously thrilled.]

What the hell kind of place is Kaisou? I came here because I heard it was a safer place for people like us, and then...
